€469 for letter openers, €500 for greasing a clock, €7,989 to print 5,000 copies of the Constitution and €63.81 on a special assortment of biscuits for Enda Kenny. Just some of the costs clocked up by the Taoiseach’s department last year which managed to spend €17.59 million, prompting the Daily Mail to describe the Taoiseach as ‘Spender Enda’.
