Mr Kenny said passing the referendum is crucial if Ireland is to experience the growth and job creation necessary for its economic recovery.
He was speaking in Dublin Castle yesterday at the second and final day of the European Ideas Forum, an annual pan-European conference.
Enda Kenny said that the outcome of the treaty referendum is crucial for Ireland and Europe.
He said: "This is very necessary for the future of our country, for the future of our children.
"We can have our own arguments at home about the challenges facing government in dealing with our financial problems, but the Government for its part, and the parties that support the referendum, will be very strong in our campaign as to the importance of voting yes."
